I make porcelain bjd dolls.

Every doll is made all by myself without using any molds.

I start my work with drawing, then I make master-model, make plaster forms and finally make porcelain parts.

Porcelain bjd doll consists of many details. For example dolls 2021-22 includes 22-23 details each.

For painting I use overglaze paints China paints and Dulev manufacture.

Porcelain is being burned several times, max temperature is 1240 C.

Colorful firing up to 850 C. The paints are being burned in the material so it can prevent colour change or parching under the sun rays.

The joints are lined with leather, the doll is assembled on the rubber band. Outfit is done by myself.

I use mainly silk, shoes are made from leather.

The wigs are being made from goat wool and placed on magnets so you can change wigs on you doll. Besides you can make any hairstyle you love.

Every dolls has it’s own velvet box an authentic certificate filled by me manually.

I make dolls “cabinet” size so you can place them on showcase.

Handmade doll is unique creature. I don’t make any repeats and copies. That’s why I think that one doll cannot be made twice and every owner must have his own doll.

I choose porcelain for it’s reliability - paints won’t choose it’s colour and won’t be parched.

Porcelain dolls can live for ages. And it is proved by history - I have my own collection of antique dolls and some of them were made more then 100 years ago.

Porcelain dolls can be inherited by your children.

But, of course, doll should be handled with care. The doll should not fall.

For every owner of the doll I will send recommendations about doll maintenance.

I mainly use Parian parcelain - it’s English porcelain without glaze or bisque; «false Parian marble», how it was named in 19th century. Unlike ordinary bisque, Parian is much more transparent, gloss and valued much more than ordinary bisque. I found very good information in Julia’s Gromova book «A bit from the history of the creation of Parian porcelain». Article is free to see so I will quote it:

«In 19th century sculpts made from marble very very popular, however the won’t cheap and not everybody could buy it.

In 1842 «Copeland & Garrett» , English manufacture, invented new porcelain formula which was very similar to паросский marble. This invention helped to make sculptures small in size and much cheaper then Parian marble. It helped to seat mass production of the sculptures.

Many English manufactures started to use this formula but gave them different names. For example, «Copeland» manufacture.

Named it «Statuary porcelain».«Wedgwood» manufacture named it «Carrara», and «Minton» manufacture named it «Parian», it the name of greek island Paros, where the marble is mined.

Main sculptures manufacturers in 19th century became «Copeland» & «Minton». They made different things from porcelain, such as sculptures, vases, jugs and many others.»

Surround yourself with beautiful and loved things.
When we presents ourself with handmade dolls we give out some space in our hearts for them. We love them and look in their eyes to guess their thoughts.
The doll comes to live when we love her.
